A Few More...

This wasn't posed. I snapped this of Ethan one afternoon when he fell asleep on the couch next to me. What do you think he is contemplating in his sleep?
Daddy is reading Ethan his bedtime story. Tonight's story is Dr. Seuss's "The Sneetches." We just noticed that Ethan looks like one of the starbelly sneetches because he too has a star on him.
Nike should give Ethan an endorsement deal for this pose of him decked out in Nike gear.

Fun Facial Expressions

Here are a few new pictures from the last few days. He has given us some fun looks and sweet smiles lately. He also is really enjoying his new mobile.

2 Months of Ethan

Ethan is two months old today! We are so blessed to have him in our family. He is such a sweetie!! Not a day goes by where we don't have this little guy melt our hearts and make us laugh. It has been a busy day for us. Ethan had his 2-month checkup and his shots. He handled them pretty well, though we felt for the little guy. He screamed his guts out when given the shots, but was calm and sleeping not long after. He did give us a funny surprise this morning. When I went in to feed him this morning, he was laying in his crib sucking his little thumb. We've caught him throughout the day making attempts to suck his thumb. We look forward to all the new ways he will surprise us this month.

Our Little Man

Ethan has been a lot more alert lately, as you may be able to see in these pictures. (Then again, he may just have gas.)


It's amazing how much liquid can come out of one little baby! We're PRETTY sure this was all spitup...

It's been fun having a boy who is big enough to fit his clothes. We've had a lot of fun trying on new outfits that he can finally wear. (We love the shoes.)

Daddy's Little Helper

We finally got a new lawnmower, and Ethan said he REALLY wanted to help daddy mow the lawn, and we thought it would be good to build some character, so we let him. It put him right to sleep.


Grandma Taylor got him this new toy for Easter (it's an elephant that vibrates when the string on its back is pulled), and he really likes to suck on its nose while it vibrates.

Burping Ethan can make some pretty funny looking pictures.
We often find Ethan sitting with his neck in what looks like uncomfortable positions. (Check out the spit-up on his shoulder)

6 Weeks Old

Here are a few photos of Ethan from the last week or so. We thought this was a really cute one of him.

Ethan really loved being held by Great Grandma Taylor. He gave her a big smile.

We decided to let Ethan sleep in his own room from now on. This picture represents the second night we attemped to get him to sleep in his crib and he slept for 8 hours straight. We were thrilled. Since we started this, he has slept for 5-8 hours straight through the night. Hopefully this will continue, because mommy and daddy are enjoying the extra long sleep periods as well.

Ethan is finally starting to pay more attention to his toys and the animals above his swing.
Today was our first attempt taking Ethan to all three hours of church. He looked so cute with his little shoes on! Unfortunately it was a battle keeping him happy through Relief Society and Sunday School. He did, however, have no trouble sleeping right through Sacrament Meeting (just like his daddy sometimes).


We love to snap pictures of Ethan when he is sleeping in funny positions. Here he looks like he has a headache.

Happy Birthday - 1 month

Today is Ethan's one month birthday, and we thought it would be fun to compare what he looks like now with what he looked like then. We have been amazed at seeing how much he has changed over the past few weeks. Here are the results:
