Company Picnic

Kyle's company picnic was on Saturday at the State Fair Park. There were lots of games and blow up slides for kids, bingo, lots of good food, and Polynesian dancers. Unfortunately Ethan was too small for most of the rides and slides, but we did take a train ride. We played two games of bingo with about 200 people and Kyle won the first game and I won the second! It was pretty cool.

Ethan really enjoyed this cookie we gave him. At first he didn't really know what to do with it since in the past we would just give him small piece of cookie to eat, never a cookie this big. It didn't take too long to figure out how to get it into his mouth.

Here is our train ride.
The picnic was supposed to be kind of a luau. The dancing at the end included this fire dancer.
It was a hot afternoon, so we took advantage of the nearly all you can eat shaved ices. Yum!!

In other family news, we got our fence finally put back up! We were working on it on Monday evening and having issues with our saw. The man renting the house next to us (who we hadn't really met and thought looked a little rough and scary) rushed over to give us a hand. He ended up helping us get the whole length of fence up in less than 4 hours (which we planned on taking all week). It turned out that he was a builder who said he was bored because work has been slow lately. We really owe him!

Baby is doing well growing and making mom's tummy bigger and bigger. Here is how big he/she/they is/are:

Wouldn't that be fun it's a they in your tummy? Did you get any fabulous prizes for winning bingo (besides the satisfaction of yelling "Bingo"?

Bingo winners could pick from an assortment of things that no one would really want. Kyle picked a cheap tool kit, and Jen a little photo album with a Walmart sticker thinking if she decided she didn't want to use it, she could return it to Walmart.
